In Phoenix at the 25th Street and Bell Rd. Day labor center, we have noticed that since our new employer sanction law took effect, the majority of pick-ups are private citizens, not businesses. Regardless, we photograph them and their license plate and turn the photos over to Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Don't know if has lead to any action, but it has cut the number of laborers getting work. Seems folks don't like their pics taken, so they have stayed away. When we started in Dec. of last year, they were sending out 50-80 workers a day. They are currently lucky to send out 5-8 a day.

We haven't completely closed it, but we are still trying!

I have gone to that site and entered an employer that has illegals working for them and then gone back later to see if it ever posted and it is never there. How else do you get someone to pay attention to the problem?

I know for a fact that the manager of one of the resteraunts is here with his family and overstayed their visa. He is the brother of one of the owners. He speaks very little if any english. He is being payed under the table so of course he isn't paying taxes. His wife has bragged about getting food stamps and they are all getting free health and dental care. If you want me to pm you, I can give you names and addresses and you can verify. I know this personally and can tell you how in an e-mail. Thanks for the quick response.

There are many things that go un to properly identifying a criminal immigrants and employers who hire them...
I don’t know your current situation but maybe I can help a little...
I see that 9 times out of 10, that when people try and report criminal immigrants to the authorities they say “I know for a fact“, but then they never submit the facts.. Or they just submit the small part of the facts because thay are un- sure or are afraid of retaliations form the criminals...

Think about it like this:
If you treat the report like you where making a report to the police about a shop lifter, or bank robber... or auto accident that wasn’t your fault you would use as much detail as you can . The more information the better...
The folks at Wehirealians.com and ICE receive hundreds and thousands of false reports and reports from people that just play games ...

I have e-mailed you the info. I called ICE and the Human service about 6-9 months ago and of course never heard anything more about it. I am beginning to think no one really cares. He manages a restaraunt - tell me that isn't a job that an American wouldn't like to have.
