While many will rejoice at the defeat of S-170, don't rest on your laurels too long. Meet Polly Baca, former Colorado Senator and current racist insurrectionist. People like Polly are busy plotting and planning their next subversion of the "rule of law," and our Constitution.
The Latino American Research and Service Agency (LARASA, sound familiar?) which Polly works with has infiltrated Colorado's schools, universities, and apparently, is in colusion with current Colorado federal, and state legislators to undermine the Constitution, and to ignore federal laws. Why on God's green Earth we grant 501(c)3 status to un-American, anti-sovereignty groups is beyond me.
Polly Baca is a poster-child for radical ethnocentric extremism. She would have you believe that legal citizens who are demanding our laws and Constitution are upheld are racists.
Read what Polly sent to Greg Williams, the FIRE Coalition's Colorado Director yesterday:
Re: SB-170
"My family has been in Colorado for several hundred
years before your family got here. We founded Colorado and helped
write our state constitution. Go back to Europe or wherever you came
from. We don't need ignorant people who don't know our history here in
this state. Your hate-filled and misguided ramblings don't deserve any
further response." Polly Baca (LARASA)
Ms. Baca needs a history lesson of her own. While her family may have helped write the Colorado state constitution, she obviously hasn't read it.
The Colorado Constitution, Article 5, Section 4 states:
"Appropriations to private
institutions forbidden. No appropriation shall be made for charitable, industrial,
educational or benevolent purposes to any person, corporation or community not under the
absolute control of the state, nor to any denominational or sectarian institution or
association."
If Colorado is "granting" any public monies to LARASA, then they are probably violating the Colorado Constitution as well. If Colorado is giving money to the United Way, who in turn may be giving money to LARASA, they are also probably violating the Colorado Constitution. Follow the money. Polly, who represents a "political ring and clique" should read the words of her ancestors who helped write her state constitution.
Ms. Baca should read from the last paragraph of page 65, Colorado Constitution, "Address to the People of Colorado," dated July 1, 1876:
"Who is there among you that would not rather be a citizen of an independent sovereign State, than a mere settler upon the public lands of the Territory, governed by satraps appointed and removed at pleasure, as best serves the whims and purposes of political rings and cliques -beggars, asking pittance at the gate of the nation; poor wards dependent upon the charity of Congress, living in a sort of penal colony, the Botany Bay of political servitude? Now that the golden opportunity is afforded, shall this state of things longer exist? We confidently believe it will not. Let us cherish, then, this occasion with more than ordinary zeal, actuated by the memories of the past, and inspired by the rewards for us in the future; let us arouse ourselves to the responsibilities of the hour, and, as citizens of a free republic, become, in fact, as well as in name, citizens of the American Union of Sovereign States." http://www.colorado.gov/dpa/doit/archives/constitution/1876.pdf
Colorado established a constitution and the "rule of law" over "whims and purposes." Polly Baca, Senator Romer, and Rep. Miklosi are each examples of the kind of failed leadership we get when elected officials betray their oaths and yield to pressures from special interest ethnocentric groups.
For the record, 101 years earlier, to the day, on July 1, 1775, my ancestors, with heritage of native American Indians as well as Europeans, signed the Pitt Resolves. I am offended by Polly's misguided racial slurs, and her distortion of the facts. Illegal aliens are not immigrants. Polly is probably hoping you won't read the Colorado or U.S. Constitutions either. She is banking on your ignorance. So are Senator Romer and Rep. Miklos.
In 1876, the same year Colorado became the Centennial State, North Carolina Governor Zeb Vance gave the following advice:
"When you find you have scoundrels and scalawags in office, you need to turn them out, and you need to keep turning them out until you send honorable men to Washington."
The LARASA page on the failure of S-170 states,
"All
Coloradans are harmed when unjust obstacles, such as exorbitant college
tuition rates, are placed in front of aspiring graduates of the
Colorado K-12 system. We elect our state policymakers to solve complex
policy issues with common sense solutions. Yet today, Senators who
voted no on SB 170 chose to reject fair, practical and economically
sound policy in favor of politics and a broken status quo. Make no mistake. This struggle is not over." -Polly Baca, 04-07-09
Do Polly and LARASA consider the Colorado and U.S. Constitutions "unjust obstacles?" What everyone should consider is that Colorado's greatness as a state, and it's inclusion in the union of States in 1876 is directly linked to their respect and adherence to the "rule of law." Senator Chris Romer and Rep. Joe Miklosi both violated their oaths and LIED to the citizens of Colorado when they said they would uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution.
Conspiring with Polly who think patriotic Americans should go back to Europe is outrageous. Race and ethnicity have nothing to do with upholding the law. Polly wishes she could turn this into a racial thing so that she could then claim "victim-hood" for the illegal aliens she is giving aid and comfort to. That's a felony, Polly.
Attorney General Suthers, and the U.S. Attorney should investigate Senator Romer and Rep. Miklosi for violating U.S. Code Title 8, and the U.S. Constitution's Article IV, Section 4, and Sections 3 and 4 of the 14th Amendment. Neither of these scoundrels, who have been informed of their discretion, are eligible to ever hold public office again. That is straight out of the Constitution they swore allegiance to.
Polly and LARASA are domestic enemies of the Constitution, and are actively conspiring and inspiring insurrection against the same. Read the 14th Amendment, and tell me where I'm wrong in my analysis of their behavior. Polly should go to prison for conspiring to pressure the Colorado Congressional Delegation to ignore their oaths of office. The Dream Act is just as illegal as S-170. Polly Baca and LARASA are, by definition, seditionists.
- Conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state.
- Insurrection; rebellion. (Reference: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/seditionist)
There is no Union when special interest groups extort and pressure federal and state legislators to betray their oaths of office. I don't live in Colorado, but an un-checked act of sedition against one state weakens all 50 states. If Polly Baca were being honest, and not relying on racist, hate-speech, she would lobby for changing the Constitution, not ignoring it and telling our Colorado Director to go back to Europe. Tens of thousands of brave, patriotic Americans made the ultimate sacrifice to establish and maintain the rule of law, not the rule of men, or slick-tongued women. Polly Baca spits in the face of every veteran when she spews her "go back to Europe" hate-speech.
Pandering traitors need to be run out of office, and pandering, racist, seditionists should be in prison.
